A group of women try to sneak into a men's-only World Cup qualifying match in Tehran in this sharp and subversive comedy by Palme d’Or-winning Iranian auteur Jafar Panahi. Shot during a real game between Iran and Bahrain in 2006, this unscripted docufiction was the last feature Panahi made before being banned from making films by the Iranian government. A brilliant social satire and an incisive indictment of authoritarianism.
