Filmmaker Bing Liu set out to make skate videos with his friends, but wound up capturing poignant observations about modern masculinity in small town America in this coming-of-age journey of courageous vulnerability.

"My hope is that Minding the Gap will inspire young people struggling with something similar—that they will survive their situation, live to tell their story, and create a life of causality for themselves." — Bing Liu
