A dazzling resurrection of Boston’s oldest gay dive bar. Once headquarters for the city’s queer activists, performers, and outcasts, the Playland Café was a space of community nurture and rebellion before its doors closed in 1998. Gathering the bar’s eclectic regulars, Georden West's debut feature pays tribute to its sequined legacy in one night encompassing six decades.
There will be a free shuttle bus to the ARVERNE CINEMA following the screening.
