On Skyros is a multimedia animated short film featuring hand-drawn and 3D animation about a trans boy trying to break through to his mother and is inspired by the Greek myth “Achilles on Skyros.” It references the mother-son dynamic in the myth through a transgender perspective, reinterpreting the tale as a coming out story. This film aims to highlight joy and the hope that things will get better.
