We present David Lynch’s sci-fi cult classic on its fortieth anniversary. The first cinematic adaptation of Frank Herbert's famous 1965 novel, this strange and stunning epic takes place in the year 10,191, when the galaxy is dependent on an all-powerful “spice” only found on harsh desert planet of Arrakis.
With a hypnotic soundtrack by Toto, the film features a star-studded cast including Sting, Patrick Stewart, Dean Stockwell, Max von Sydow, and Kyle MacLachlan in his acting debut — the first instance of what would become a longtime collaboration with Lynch.
